Musica Si En Ibiza Campaign featured in Magnetic Mag

Ibiza residents have launched a campaign, Musica Si En Ibiza (Yes To Music In Ibiza) to try and fight against government laws regulating noise around the island.

Businesses, promoters and hoteliers are behind the campaign as they think the regulations will harm their business.

Says the news piece in Magnetic Mag, “They point to regulations in areas of San Antonio, Playa d’en Bossa (and its beach clubs), Salinas, Cala Bassa and Cala Jondal. The island is changing rapidly as the government is trying to preserve it for those who live there full time. However, it is reliant on tourism, notably dance music tourism. If it imposes regulations that are too onerous, the business may move to other places in the Mediterranean.”
